I’ve spent my entire 3rd year of college as an intern in Lidl’s IT department. I chose Lidl for a number of different reasons. The main reason was, of course, Lidl’s brilliant reputation. As soon as I saw the job description, I knew that this opportunity would be important for my future. It’s been incredible to do meaningful work for the business, while getting an inside look at the important work that Lidl do for local charities.
As part of my internship I worked with the IT Service & Support team. Through projects of all shapes and sizes, I’ve gained a valuable insight into the role that each department plays in building a successful business. Not only that, I’ve been given opportunities to improve my presentation and time management skills, all while broadening my skill set across the board. I know that these skills that I’ve acquired during my time at Lidl will really set me apart from other college graduates when entering the job market after college.
I couldn’t recommend an internship at Lidl enough. From day one I was welcomed into in the team, given meaningful tasks and made to feel like a truly valued colleague. If you consider yourself to be hard working and ready for a challenge, Lidl is certainly the place for you.
