We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our IT Infrastructure team. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for ongoing support, monitoring and management of our existing storage and server estate. The right candidate will be someone with hands-on experience of providing high quality support to end users while maintaining a stable and secure IT environment within a large organisation. The candidate should be results driven, thrive under pressure and be comfortable communicating and influencing people company-wide and across all levels of seniority.

What you'll do

  • Provision of the IT Server & Storage infrastructure (hardware and software) required for the operation of specific IT Systems
  • Ensuring a stable operation of specific IT systems used throughout our organisation
  • Planning and supporting IT infrastructure for stores, warehouses, and head office locations (server rooms, data and power supply, network/cabling, active infrastructure components)
  • Evaluate and apply any necessary security patches, hotfixes, service packs and hardware updates
  • Improvement and further development of the defined standard systems
  • Incident analysis and resolution
  • Implementing of guidelines to comply with data protection requirements and provide operational IT security
  • Creation and maintenance of procedural documentation for service provision and incident resolution
  • Operating within an ITIL environment

What you'll need

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record
  • Highly motivated, flexible, ability to thrive in a high-paced environment and on work on own initiative
  • Demonstrate good judgement in navigating challenging issues and in recommending an appropriate course of action
  • Proficient in project management with an ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines and multi-task
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Experience working with VMWare (ESXi), NetApp ONTAP storage, Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019
  • Experience working with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Powershell
  • Citrix knowledge beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge in any of the following is beneficial but not essential: Linux, Azure, Automation, DevOps
  • VCP/MCSA/MCSE certifications an advantage
  • Full clean driver’s license
  • German language skills an advantage
