We are seeking a strategic, creative and results-focused Senior Partnerships & Events Manager to lead our Partnerships & Events function for Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland as part of our wider Corporate Affairs team. The Senior Partnerships & Events Manager will be responsible for developing and leading our award-winning sponsorship of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA), corporate partnerships such as our national charity partnerships and consumer and corporate events. This is a senior role with line management responsibility and will report directly to the Corporate Affairs Director.
What you'll do
- Developing and implementing a best-in-class sponsorship, corporate partnerships and events strategy
- Developing and project managing community engagement initiatives to support Lidl’s sponsorship programme
- Managing national charity partnerships and developing fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns to support these
- Coordinating the development of marketing and communications campaigns to support corporate sponsorships and partnerships
- Creating and executing events and coordinating with relevant third-party stakeholders including agencies, project managers and senior leadership team
- Liaising with key internal departments and external partnership stakeholders including Ladies Gaelic Football Association, parkrun, Agri Aware and Lidl ambassadors
- Managing vendors; budgets, negotiations, invoices, and handling event logistics
- Overseeing the project management of The Lidl Farm school tours and site
- Prepare annual budgets and ensure adherence
- Track, measure and report on KPIs and return on investment for all sponsorship and partnership initiatives
- Align with Lidl International to integrate global sponsorship initiatives locally
- Leading Partnerships & Events team, team management and personnel development
- Positively contributing to team leader group and culture within the organisation
- Support wider Corporate Affairs team as needed
What you'll need
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Proven track record of managing a significant sports sponsorship(s), sports activations or corporate partnership(s)
- Creative and results-focused with the ability to the think outside the box and generate new ideas and execute concepts effectively
- Experience in managing a small team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to form, establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure as part of a dynamic team
- Excellent time management skills, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident, motivated and can work independently
- Full driving licence is essential
