Whether you start with us in our stores, warehouses, or offices, we’ll provide you with your own training plan to ensure that you’re equipped with all the skills and knowledge you need hit the ground running from day one.

We know that development is a key part of our employee’s job satisfaction. For targeted development from your Line Manager, annual reviews take place once a year when you and your Line Manager agree on specific goals and development pathways. Together, you identify bespoke measures to achieve these individual objectives, which becomes your personal development plan for the next year. Your Line Manager will schedule regular check-ins throughout the year to ensure that you are on track to achieve your development goals. Your Talent Management team are always on hand to offer guidance and support to ensure that you continue to thrive in your role!

At Lidl, we know that learning is a year round activity so there are always varied training opportunities available to our colleagues. Our Training Catalogue features videos, podcasts, articles, digital modules, and seminars based around our competency framework to help you target a specific skill.

Strong leaders have helped to build Lidl Ireland into the success it is today. To continue our growth we need to develop our future leaders, which is why we have created our new leadership academy to support development across the business. The academy helps identify a suite of programmes for our three dynamic business streams - Sales, Logistics and Office.

The Global Mobility team enables our colleagues to move and travel between all Lidl countries whilst ensuring compliance with international taxation, entry regulation and registration at all times.Global Mobility aligns tax compliance with the business compliance objectives to support international employee development and training to build social capital, business-relevant networks and multinational business understanding. The Global Mobility team supports the business and the employees with advice on business travel requirements, permanent transfers and business assignments including relocation packages and administration requirements.
