What you'll do

  • Be a key member of our Cost and Investment Analysis Team
  • Prepare, quality check and distribute cost and investment related reports in accordance with international standards
  • Complete month-end responsibilities, including preparation, analysis and dissemination of accruals
  • Analyse a range of cost accounts and investment projects, identify deviations to plan, perform root-cause analysis and provide commentary on actual figures
  • Implement and support the development of cost benefit analysis for existing and potential projects
  • Actively participate in the financial planning cycle for the following fiscal year
  • Support stakeholders by providing “tailor-made” reports to help them understand their impact on certain costs/ investments
  • Develop, maintain and update cost and investment data bases
  • Support Cost & Investment project management
  • Implement international standards and/or guidelines on a regional/ national level

What you'll need

  • 3rd Level degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Analysis / Engineering or related disciplines
  • Motivated/self-starter
  • Part qualified Accountant, CIMA/ ACCA/ACA advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills, high level of attention to detail, structured approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn
  • Technical skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with financial modelling
  • Ability to integrate into and work as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • German language skills advantageous but not essential

What you'll receive

Through our salary system, we ensure pay equality across all positions at Lidl.

  • €49,500 rising to €63,000 over 3 years
