The Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing equipment and services to support our stores, regional offices & warehouses and head office.  You will lead the full tendering lifecycle for GNFR categories including store fittings, cleaning, maintenance, security, HR services (e.g. training, uniforms), and sales support (e.g. promotional materials).

What you'll do

End-to-End Tender Management & Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and issue RFPs, evaluate supplier proposals, conduct commercial and contractual negotiations, and award contracts.
  • Draft and negotiate robust commercial agreements that secure competitive pricing and mitigate business risk.
  • Utilise eTendering and eSourcing platforms to manage procurement events with transparency and efficiency.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed on supplier capabilities, cost drivers, and emerging trends, feeding into sourcing strategies and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple departments including HR, IT, Construction, Marketing, Facilities, Legal, and Sales to align procurement strategies with business needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs, ensuring delivery of contractual obligations and long-term value.
  • Lead supplier reviews and performance improvement initiatives, fostering strong, value-driven partnerships.
  • Support sustainability and ethical sourcing goals in collaboration with the CSR team, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

What you'll need

  • Proven Procurement Expertise: Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, ideally within a retail, FMCG, or multi-site environment.
  • Tendering & Contracting: Demonstrated ability to manage complex end-to-end tender processes, including drafting RFPs, evaluating bids, negotiating terms, and awarding contracts.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills with a track record of delivering cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation through supplier agreements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments including HR, IT, Legal, Finance, and Operations.
  • Supplier Management: Experience in managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance against KPIs/SLAs, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Project Delivery: Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver sourcing projects on time and within budget.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Category Knowledge: Familiarity with GNFR categories such as store equipment, facilities services, HR-related services, and marketing support.
  • Market Insight: Up-to-date understanding of supplier markets, cost drivers, and industry trends to inform sourcing strategies.
