What to expect before you join us
Your first day is near, we hope you’re excited! Before you get started, here are the steps you can expect to go through in preparation for the big day.
Congratulations! You have been offered a role with Lidl
Your new line manager or a member of the Recruitment Team will have already let you know about the offer and a start date will have already been agreed.
Your contract
You will receive your contract by email which should be signed electronically. Sign it as soon as possible so we can get everything set up in time for your start date.
Call with your new line manager
Your line manager will give you a call before joining. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you have so that you have everything you need for your new career at Lidl. On this call your line manager will make sure you have everything you need for your first day at Lidl. Your line manager will talk through what to expect during your first week and can talk you through who you will meet with.
Your Welcome Event invite
After this, you should expect an email which includes all the details about the Welcome Event which will be your first day at Lidl. The Welcome Event will be held at the Regional Distribution Centre and will be led by your hiring manager. You will learn lots of information about life at Lidl and get to meet lots of other new colleagues. You will get a tour of the warehouse which provides stock for all stores!
